Who is Eligible?
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILTY- Men and Women eligible for membership in the American Legion is based on honorable service with the U. S. Armed Forces
or presently serving in the military. If discharged you must submit a copy of your DD-214 along with an application form. Males having parents or grandparents may also be eligible for the S.A.L. (Sons of the American Legion). The relative's DD-214 will be needed with a application. This also applies to males(mother)and females with regards to the Auxiliary with the addition of spouse as the serving veteran.
